Limit Consumption
The industrial revolution has exponentially increased our production ability. The following age of technological development has increased this output amount to ridiculous levels. This has drastically increased our standard of living and reduced our necessary working hours. The only downside to this is that the technology has been used inappropriately beyond belief, and so much waste for profit and self gratification has occurred. This includes both unnecessary waste of natural resources and the creation of an unnecessary amount of pollution. Individuals, communities, businesses and government are all to blame, none of these are innocent. Since the end of World War Two an unfathomable amount of resources have been used. The United States and other decadent countries could have reduced consumption by over 90% and still achieved a similar standard of living if proper social development was cared for. There are only 2 categories we need to use natural resource for. The first is survival and health and the second is comfort and entertainment. Even the natural resources used in recent times for survival and health were much more than necessary because of inefficient habitat and transportation systems. The amount of natural resources used for entertainment and comfort are astronomical. This can be greatly reduced, but society will have to be altered from its dark condition. Methods to battle this must be financial, industrial, and social.

Social, Industrial, and Financial Revolution
Society must stop being engineered to consume, this is the biggest problem. Engineering society through such methods as advertising and media must be halted by law. Profiteers prey on people's biology and create advertisements that appeal to their emotions through various strategies. This should be outlawed. Advertisement must be limited to an explanation of the exact specifications of the product. This means that sex, colours, music, shapes, and related things must be left out of advertisement. Programs must be put in place that will lead the masses to healthier forms of entertainment. This involves media and events geared toward education, sports, and constructive hobbies rather than fantasy and glamour. Products and services should be practical in nature, meaning they should be goods and services that we need to survive and help improve our standard of living in a moderate manner. Crazes for the latest technological gadget should have never existed, and have caused the world much harm. Video games should be created with substance in mind, meaning that games should center around various complex strategies rather than graphics and action. Taxes should be almost nonexistent or nonexistent for basic items. Taxes should go up based on the amount of goods and services an individual uses in a period of time. Business taxes should be higher for business dealing with entertainment and lower for corporations that produce practical goods and services. Certainly the economy as we know it can not function under these advanced methods, which means the economic system will have to be upgraded. But this is another topic.
